The Town of Alton is requesting proposals for the hauling and disposal of its Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Construction & Demolition (C&D).
We would like proposals for 3, 5 & 7 years with any cost escalators to be included.
The Alton Transfer Station is located on Hurd Hill Road and operates 4 days a week, Friday thru Monday, 7:00 AM to 4:45 PM. The Municipal Solid Waste is compacted into 42-50 yard roll-off containers that would need to be transported an average of three (3) times per week. The Construction & Demolition material is sorted and stored in open 50 yard containers. The Town owns four (4) – 50 yard, two (2) – 40 yard, two (2) – 30 yards open top containers and five (5) compactor cans.
The contractor would need to provide one (1) compactor container for the Municipal Solid Waste. Requirements:
• Need to haul on Saturdays
• From Memorial Day weekend until Columbus Day weekend; need to haul one of each or what ever town requests; by noon on that Monday
• Empty and return town owned containers
All questions should be addressed to Scott Simonds, Solid Waste Director at 603-387-4589. All proposals should be sent in a sealed envelope marked “Solid Waste/C&D Proposals” to PO Box 659, Alton, NH 03809. All proposals must be received at the Town Hall by 2:00 PM, July 27, 2018.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
