Draft Master Plan

We are very excited here in the Planning Department to share some good news!

A link to the long awaited draft of the Master Plan update is located on the front page of the Town's website for all to view at, along with a summary of the 2022 Survey Results.

The Master Plan Committee has been hard at work since their first meeting on October 7, 2020. With the passing of a warrant article in March of 2021, an RFP process, and the passing of a second warrant article in March of 2022, the Committee was able to hire Community Planning Consultant, Tara Bamford, who has been the backbone of this update and has contributed an enormous amount of assistance and preparation with the creation of this all important document.

Throughout the Committee's numerous meetings, town-wide survey, and discussions with townspeople, business owners, associations, town staff, and others, the Master Plan has grown from two chapters (Vision & Goals and Land Use), to a full blown Plan that includes six chapters: Introduction and Vision; Priorities for the Next Ten Years; Natural Resources; Historic Resources; Land Use; and Infrastructure.

Please be on the lookout for an upcoming Public Hearing that will be taking place with the Planning Board for public input and discussion within the next month or two. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact the office at (603) 875-2162 or email us at
