Levey Park
Levey Park is a ten acre woodland located on the west side of the road between the village of Alton and Alton Bay. It is one-quarter mile south of the intersection of routes 11 and 28A at the tip of the bay.
The park is open to the public year-round from sunrise to sunset. Permitted uses include picnicking, hiking, bird watching, X-C skiing and snowshoeing. All motorized vehicles, including OHRVs, ATVs, and snowmobiles are prohibited. Open fires are not permitted in the park.

There is a roadside picnic area with tables and during the warm weather months, municipal well water is available at a spigot adjacent to the picnic area.

Levey Park From the north bluff, there is an excellent scenic view of Lake Winnipesaukee's Alton Bay showing the bandstand, Sandy Point, and Echo Point with the Ossipee mountain range in the background.
When the park land was gifted to the town in 1924, a stipulation of the donor was that the selectmen appoint three trustees to care for and supervise the property. The current Levey Park Trustees are Jonathan Downing, Nancy Downing, and Allen Giles.
