YOUR COOPERATION IS APPRECIATED

The town will be offering a swap shop to town residents/property owners starting April 29, 2005 with a Grand opening scheduled for April 30, 2005. The Town of Alton will be opening a swap shop at the transfer station located on Hurd Road. The swap shop will allow for residents to drop off items that are still useable but no longer needed by the homeowner. These items would then be available to any resident who would like to reuse these items. The idea is to reduce the disposal of good items such as furniture, bikes, and household goods that otherwise would be thrown away. The facility will not accept any couches, mattresses, stuffed chairs, clothes, linens and propane tanks. You may drop off clothes in the Recycling Center for Goodwill. The swap shop will be open Friday through Monday 8:00am-4:00pm.
